Everyone Makes Easy
What I love living in US is that everything is easy because everybody is making it easy and convenient.
Library opens 7 days a week 9 am to 9 pm, even on Sunday it open from noon to 9 pm. When I was in Bandung, I always think that I want to spend my weekend in the library: reading book, contemplating in a quiet place... but it never happens, because no library open on weekend.
It is convenient to go everywhere by bus or train with quite low price compared to other transportation mode. We can plan where to go and which bus to take from home by using their CTA trip planner. Check this out! www.transitchicago.com When we get on the bus, we can use cash or CTA card to pay the fare. The bus and train are also punctual so we can rely on the trip planner.
Almost every business have their website. Store location, weekly promo, even menu sometimes are easily find in the website. Well... more information protect us from bad decision making, right?
It is easy to return the product that we already buy but do not like to the store. I have returned pillows, clothes, even sausages! The store keeper still keep smiling to us and say nothing! But remember to keep the receipt and not to put off the tag...
There is coin laundry business here ( I know it is also available now in Indonesia!). We can wash clothes and dry it using the washing and drying machine for around 1 1/2 hours. All I have to do after that is storing the clothes into the drawer. I love it...it really makes my work easier.
Cooking is amazing! I can buy instant dough for cakes, mix vegetables, peeled potato, choped garlic, etc... with relatively low price. We can save time for food preparation, thus have more time for our selves. And the food taste delicious too!
Last but not least... the school. As a spouse, I can join classes in my husband's business school without paying a dime. I e-mail the professors, they e-mail me back and that's it... I'm in! There is major difference, off course. I can sit in the class and listen to the lecturewithout doing the assignment, but I can't participate in class discussion nor have the grade. Anyway, the procedure is easy and I can also choose the class by looking at their website.
My point is I think everyone, or almost everyone, has understand the importance of customer satisfaction. I can see that they try to make their customer convenient in any possible ways. I know we are going this way too... No more wasting time to grumble on bad service!
